Ideal for hot and dry climatesDepending on your climate, an evaporative cooling system can be a very effective method of cooling your home or business premises during the summer months.
As the name suggests, evaporative air conditioning uses evaporation to cool the air. A pump circulates water from a reservoir on to a cooling pad. A fan draws air from outside the unit through the moistened pad. As it passes through the pad the air is cooled as it absorbs moisture from the pad. Effective evaporative cooling is created by ensuring the fan and motor are appropriately sized for the area and that the home allows for air flow to provide natural ventilation. These systems work effectively in climates that are dry and arid, and have no humidity to compete with and are ideal if you like to have your home opened up while still benefiting from a cooling system. |
