A 17.6 KW Off Grid Solar System was installed for the client utilising the Selectronic SPMC482-AU Inverter, a Fronius Primo 8.2 KW inverter, Fronius 6 KW inverter, 3 BYD BBox 13.8 KW Battery
The Selectronic SPMC482-AU is Australia designed and manufactured for off-grid systems that provides grid back up and grid feed with an integrated generator controller to maximise system efficiency. This product has a 10 year warranty.
The Selectronic Certified Fronius Primo 8.2 KW and 6 KW Inverters have been utilised for this design. Selectronic has recently expanded its offering of Selectronic Certified inverters to include the Fronius Primo range. Selectronic and Fronius are aligned in many ways. Not only does the SP PRO integrate seamlessly with Fronius and batteries to give people more choice and flexibility over how their home is powered, but share the foundation of being a family-run company with a commitment to reliability and customer support. With a fully off-grid system, a Fronius Selectronic Certified inverter will integrate seamlessly with the SP PRO via Managed AC Coupling connectivity. A simple plug and play connection to the SP PRO makes installation to a battery system very simple. The inverters have a 10-year warranty.
3 BYD B-Box’s have been chosen to support the off-grid installation. The BYD Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) chemistry is recognised as one of the safest Lithium chemistries currently in use. Built with the same battery modules as BYD's Electric Vehicles gives these 'stationary' battery systems the durability of devices designed for motive and high vibration applications and with its High Peak Discharge capability makes them ideal for off-grid applications where surging loads are used. The B-Box can deliver a usable energy ratio of 96%. Using natural convection cooling allows the B-Box to achieve the highest system efficiency as well as enabling operation without the noise of fans or pumps.
The Winaico Solar Panels are 310 Watts PERC panels. PERC refers to the Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell Technology that adds a power reflector layer to the panel to reflect unabsorbed light back onto the solar cells, assisting to optimize the sunlight captured to produce power. The panels have a 15 year Manufacturing warranty and a 25 year performance warranty.
